Dead Pentair Intelliflo pump

Hi there folks,

This morning I tried to start my pool pump and was completely dead. My first impression was that the circuit breaker had been tripped but I verified that it was not the case. After fiddling with it for a bit noticed that every time I switched the circuit breaker from off to on the green light next to the checkmark in the pump keyboard blinked a couple of times and that was it. Has anyone experienced this?

I attached a couple of pictures for clarity.

Any help you can provide would be most very appreciated

H..

Harbey,

The first thing you need to do is make sure that you actually have 240 volts at the pump.

Measure between the two inputs L1 and L2 with a voltmeter and make sure you have 240 volts. Do NOT measure between L1 and ground and then L2 to ground as this can give you a false reading.

Is this a standalone pump, or is it being controlled by an automation system like an EasyTouch or IntelliTouch?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Hi Jim,

I will do that later today and report back. And to answer your question, It is a stand-alone pump.

NOTE:

I checked and in fact, I do have 240V-AC between L1-L2 lines. Any ideas?

H,

If you had 240 volts between L1 and L2, then most likely the control head is bad. :(

You can try searching here for "IntelliFlo Factory Reset" and see if that is even possible. I have never tried it so, that is just a guess.

I was hoping you were just missing either L1 or L2, due to a bad breaker, but no such luck.

Thanks,

Jim R.

See Need To Reset Pentair Intelliflo to attempt a reset as suggested by Jim.

As the control panel appears dead you can attempt to disassemble as a final option.

How old is the pump and what model do you have? Replacement drive kits are available but are expensive.
