Hi, I just put in the DE sand and noticed it was coming out of the closest jet immediately. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong with the pump?

DE and sand are two different things. Is it sand or DE (Diatomaceous Earth)? You show having a sand filter.

The multiport listed goes to a de filter. Most likely, there's a rip in the grids, a cracked manifold or a defective multiport.
Thanks, we thought it was a sand filter but it is a DE filter. we will take it apart this weekend and troubleshoot the grids and manifold first
