I'm getting some pretty substantial FC burnoff as summer heats up here in Texas (like 4.5 parts per day). I show CYA at 40. Does it make sense to bump it up to 50 to help manage this?
I'm at 50 cya and now that it's warming up a lot, I started losing 3.5ppm of FC each day already and it's barely May. If i start losing more, I may try 60.
Awesome, thanks everyone! I'll bump up to 50 and see how it goes. If it stays at ridiculous FC loss, I'll bump it up to 60. Do you just let it burn off over time and get down to a lower level when winter comes around, or do you just keep your pool at 50/60?
Splash out and rain will cause the water eventually deplete the CYA in the water. In the summer months it would need to be checked every 4 weeks to top off the stabilizer.
