CYA from last year

Good morning, we’re just putting up our pool and filling up for the season. We have an intex 15x48 above ground pool. We have some CYA in a sock from last year that we didn’t use up. (We had to add some after draining and refilling last year and didn’t need all the cya in the sock). Can we use that or we should toss and use fresh?
