I need to choose a controller and salt cell for a 25,000 gallon in-ground pool. I am following a discussed practice of seeking out a system that is rated to go to 40,000 gal capacity. I will stick with the Hayward line, despite the non-existent communications from them during the failure of a newly-installed pump on another project....
What I find confusing is the Hayward website. It has been poorly organized any time I have tried to use it for product research. The 'compare' function doesn't accomplish anything at all.
Does anyone on the forum understand the current line-up of Hayward models that suit this chlorine generation task? If you could write up a brief comparison, that would be so appreciated. (By the way, I am coupling the chosen unit with a 1.65 HP Hayward VS Super Pump).
I am seeking to monitor/control chlorine levels only. If it wasn't too much of a lift, it would be good to be able to oversee the system remotely, as for this pool I can be away for up to a month at a time over summer. I am not interested in having any capacity to add other control functions at a later time (eg : pH control).
(During research, I am seeing information about 'turbo cells' and 'low salt' systems - are these terms relevant to this discussion at all?)
All the best!
