This is my first closing and I was wondering, since temperature has such a drastic downward effect on CSI, do folks adjust their chemistry with CSI in mind for the cold weather? Should I bring my pH up to 8+ or spike my TA before closing? I have a vinyl liner, so I'm not particularly concerned about leaving the ideal +/-0.3 range, but with TA=70, pH=7.4, and CH=270, putting in 40F as my water temp gives me a CSI of -0.83.

You have a vinyl liner.
CSI is only a concern for you if you add a SWG or if CSI exceeds +0.6 for an extended period.
