Hi all, I am having some scaling in my swg and finding some flakes in the pool that I assume as somewhat normal. I have a fiberglass pool and an electric heat pump, and my current chemistry is:
Fc: 3.5
Cya: between 40-50
Ch: 275
Water temperature: 89
Ph: 7.4
Alkalinity: 80
Salinity: 3600
With the above results I get a csi of -0.39. I was thinking about taking the csi above -0.3 but maintaining in negative territory and was thinking of adding calcium hardness to help me achieve that as I am at the low end of recommended for fiberglass (although mid range based on equipment manufacturer). My question is: will raising calcium hardness worsen calcium flakes even if I stay in negative csi territory? Or should I leave as is? I was thinking of increasing CH to around 325-350 and that would take me to a csi of -0.3.
Thanks!
