Critical help needed

Solid,

Have you tried calling the manufacturer to ask them what is the correct capacitor you need and where you can procure one, or any distributor/reseller if you bought it that route? If the man. is or other is not helpful or is not cooperative, then a pump is only as good a the parts and service you can obtain.

Thanks for all the replies my friend came over and helped me remove the battery there was no way to discharge it as i did not see any where to put screwdriver everything was safely removed. I have ordered a new capacitor that i believed would work now im at a dilemma added some new pictures showing original capacitor in black and just received replacement from amazon two problems. One it is quite a bit bigger in height and diameter two the voltage is twice the amount as mine is 250v .AC and this is rated at 450v .AC wanted to no if you believe this will be a problem and also on the uF rating it says 40uF + 5% B instead of the original capacitor 40uF + 5%C will this be a problem also wondering if this new capacitor will cause any issues with to much voltage causing the breaker to flip or worse have any kind of burnout issue as i don't want to mess up any of my house electricity. If this is not the right voltage. And also one more issue is the wires are not separated as mine was inside the unit wanting to no if i could cut the black rubber and separate the wires to be able to make them fit inside. Or if anyone no where i can buy the exact size that my capacitor is would be truly grateful. Also added below in images anyone can see the new blue capacitor is double in size i can fit it inside but its very tight i almost have to break the plastic piece that used to hold the previous capacitor.

so a little update it appears that my original capacitor is not in any damage and is in working order had a motor tech test it and he said the rating was the correct micron reading at 39uF. So now im back to something must be wrong with the motor i believe something may have gotten stuck inside the motor like a little type of acorn. I have opened the impeller area and did not see anything do any of you guys belive that it could have got through to the main motor area.

wait let me go back
here is how i would figure out were the issue is. after checking that it has power to the pump.
1) check if the motor spins free
no? stop there find out why. check bearings blockages hair behind the impeller. if it doesnt spin free that is the first issue.
2) motor spins free but still doesn't work check does it hum any weird noises?
check power at motor does it have power, no check cap yes go to 3 bad cap only replace it with the correct part aka matching numbers, never put a larger cap or a smaller cap.
3) motor has power but doesnt work check if the motor has brushes no brushes smell the motor does it smell burnt? look for signs of melting in the bindings. no? go back to 1.
brushes? check the brushes only replace with the size and type brush. clean the brushes and the contact point on the shaft.
What caused the issue in the first place, that can be a real clue to finding out what is the issue,
was there a big storm? kids dumping sand in the strainer other stuff getting sucked in that might cause the motor not to turn for a long period of time can and will burn the windings and or the contacts in the motor,
I learned a long time ago anything can be fixed but sometimes your time and the cost of parts out weigh the cost of the replacement. if you fix it and it works great, you fix it and burns down the pool house not so great.
take pictures of the whole setup from further out
also take pictures of the pump name plate, aka model numbers.
if you google the model numbers alot of the times your not the first to have an issue. I have fixed hundreds of tvs just by googleing the model number. also by googling the model number alot of times you can find an exploded view of what your working on .

Crush thanks for the reply im not sure what caused the issue all i no is it happend one day after hooking wanda the whale to my suction side inlet also had a hayward leaf catcher and they were both put on correctly. Let all the air bubbles out of the hose and the bot. Cleaned the pool fantastic let it run for about 3 hours went outside checked and noticed that wanda was slowing down. Shut off pump took wanda out cleaned the whole cleaner wanda did have a small acorn type of debris inside removed and she was still functioning correctly emptied the leaf catcher. And put both wanda and that away shut pump off for the day as it had run for its normal routine 8 to 12 hours. 1. So far i have completely removed the capacitor and had it checked by motor tec he said it was showing correctly and there was no issue there. 2. Have completely dissembled the front end and checked all inside the impeller. 3. Removed top housing to check motor fan spins freely no issues here nothing look rusted or broken. 4. No smell or burnt anything. At this point im completely baffled just seems like for what reason the motor is not functioning and im no motor expert have tried small things to try and trouble shoot and repair but i belive this is out of my league as far as doing anything else with the motor. i will do as you suggested and take a full picture of the model number but i believe at this point its a lost cause.
