Cracked Jandy valve connection

Anyone know what this part is called to try to find one online? The pvc connector cracked in the freeze. The valve itself still works. And with limited space, how do you splice a new connector in?

You have an actuator screwed onto the top of a 3way diverter valve. Jandy, Pentair, and Hayward make diverter valves.

Exactly which valve you need depends on the size of your pipes.

Post some wider pics around the valve for us to see what you may need to cut out.

Thanks! Looks like 2 1/2 inch pipe.

Awesome! Thanks!! Any idea if this would work? It's a lot cheaper.

That is the body only without the diverter assembly and handle.

If you have a Pentair diverter and the rest of the parts are in good shape then it can work. You should replace the O rings.

If you have another brand then the parts are not interchangeable.

The reason that body is on eBay is because if you need the diverter parts it is often cheaper to buy the entire valve then individual parts. So they took what they needed and are selling the body.

Since the actuator on top is Pentair/Compool, you should use a Pentair valve.

The Jandy, Hayward and Pentair valve actuators are all interchangeable on each other’s valves, but the screw threads are different for the mounting screws.

So, you always want to use the same brand actuator and valve as much as possible to avoid stripping the plastic female threads.

When installing the mounting screws, rotate backwards slowly until you feel the screw drop into the original threads and then go clockwise.

Since you’re getting a whole new valve, you can go with a 1.5” x 2” three way valve or a 2” x 2.5” 3 way valve.

Get CPVC (black) and not PVC (grey).

The 1.5” x 2” three way valve takes a 2” fitting to the outside.

263035. 3-Way CPVC 1-1/2 in. (2 in. slip outside).

263026. 3-Way CPVC 2 in. (2-1/2 in. slip outside).

I have the same problem. I put a couple of layers of pvc cement over the cracked area. I don't view it as permanent at all, but my pool is up and running without leaks as I locate the necessary parts and assistance with labor.

Where would u cut on the curved section, at the arrow on the straight section? And which of the 3 sections would be your last coupling attachment? It doesn’t look like I’m gonna have much flex in the lines.

I think you cut by the red lines. Then use couplers and some short pieces of PVC and dry fit.buzsaw valve cut.jpeg

My order never shipped from Amazon, so I canceled and bought 263028 from another store. PVC, not CPVC. I didn't pay close enough attention. Will it still work?
