Crack in concrete - new vinyl pool

I'm in the midst of a pool installation and the contractor put the concrete floor in a few weeks back and we've been in a holding pattern due to weather.

Today I noticed two cracks the full width of the pool in the shallow end. See photo attached.

Is this a problem that needs to be addressed or can the liner go right over this?

Thanks!pool crack.jpg

I don't know the answer to your question, but just out of curiosity is this a full concrete shell with rebar? Or is it just a thin layer over a vermiculite base?

It will crack then.

The concrete is just a solid base. Not intended to be water proof. Your liner does that.

I have a concrete shell just like yours in my vinyl lined pool.

When the liner was replaced I noticed a few hair line cracks in a few places.

Not really a big deal, but good that they patched it for you since it is brand new.
