Coverstar Cover Digging into Tracks when Opening

We have a Coverstar cover for our pool. Since late last summer the guides/carriage assembly has been digging into the tracks when we open the cover. It looks like the cover is pulling the guide forward and not the rope at the bottom. Has anyone else experienced this issue? What was the fix?

I too have a deck mounted autocover (diff brand) but I've never seen that type of set up. Do you ever blast that tracks off with plain water to make sure everything is clean? I wonder if something as simple as debris is causing the problem??

I know how expensive service calls are. I'd hate for you to have to call them.
