Cover off today, pool tech shocked, added salt, cleaned the cartridge, set the pump to run 8 hrs/ day. Daily temps 53- 69, overnight temps 44-52 this week. Since we won’t be swimming, I’d rather not run my heater. I realize my SWG won’t generate chlorine in these temps. Will the shock be enough to promote water clarity until it warms up? Is it worth testing ((I use a Taylor Test Kit). I’ll be brushing and vacuuming daily.
Thank you.

My SWG took 3 days to kick on several weeks ago when i opened only a little south of you. We had freezing nights and it was producing during the day.

It might be a 2 week supply, or a 2 day supply. Test and dose with liquid chlorine as need be. With any luck, it won't be for long.

Thank you, this is what I was thinking.
