Cover for pool pump

I ordered a cover to go over my Pentair pump the equipment pad since it is exposed to the elements and sun a lot of the day. Does anyone recommend this? Also what do you put over your equipment to protect it over winter after closing. Thanks!!!

I only put the sky over mine, full midwest sun. My pump and filter are 20 years old. Out in the open away from any structure so it does not get dirty or damp from elements and dead air. Looks like they will take another 20. I have replaced the filter label because it was faded. Probably will need to do that again.
