Hi
I was changing my spa water and when I opened the equipment panel I found the motor corroded. Is this a repair replacement, and can I do it myself?
I have a 1994 hot springs highlife spa.
thanks
Kathi

Yikes! I HOPE you want to replace the whole thing. That's kinda scary. I'm surprised it works.
Post a pic of the whole pump motor assembly, and of the electrical sticker on the side opposite the wave master sticker. Maybe I can help you find a new one.

Ok. I will see if I can get the pictures tomorrow. Thank you.

Hi. I have tried to get photos. The space is tight! I have the owners manual and it us a wave master 9000 jet pump. I just had a spa repair guy here and he said it is similar to a pool pump and I should try a different company.

Thanks for finding that, I read the description and it did not list the 94 Highlife as one is the spa’s it fits.
My pump was 2HP, and that one us 1HP. Does that matter?
I found this at. Backyardsplus.com. It looks to be a match and the highlife is listed. It does cost more - but if it gives me another 20 years it will be worth it.

I couldn't make out the hp in your pics on my phone. If the original is 2hp, that's what you need. Backyard plus is one of the more expensive suppliers out there on most parts. I would go with poolspasupplies, spadepot, or spapartsdepot myself.
I will also point out that, with a bit of plumbing work, you can put a modern, cheap ($300 or so) spa pump in it. It will likely still meet up with the suction union, but would not meet the pressure side union by several inches. But $30 in parts will fix that if you have the skill.

Good news! Tucson pool and spa was able to replace the seals and stop the leak. He said everything else was fine! So it is up and running for 20 in parts and whatever labor is 👍🎉
