We are about to order our travertine coping stones and can’t decide between rounded edge or straight. We prefer the look of straight edges but I’m worried about them being scratchy. We are clueless about to be first time pool owners. Any advice gratefully received. 🙏

Welcome to TFP.

What is the design of your pool?

Will you have a spa?

When do you think people will come in contact with the edges of the coping?

Ours are straight but they mitered an edge into them (2 45 deg cuts) so that there is a 2” lip on the coping overhanging your waterline tile and your “edge” is now a finished edge and not a cut edge
