Type S Mortar

Clean the old mortar from the entire joint.

And now….



Really hoping there is a glue type product to reset the loose stones and demoing the mortar to reset them isn’t the only way about this.

With the exception of a hollow spot under the rightmost stone, the mortar underneath is smooth and level and seems in good condition. Water got in the joints and just popped all the coping stones loose.

Any reason a standard concrete adhesive of the type used to glue capstones on a masonry wall doesn’t work?
