Sounds like its getting better?Of course nothing has been in there for days now. Nothing. Not even the little temperature tubes.
So you gained 1.5ppm since this morning? If you have poolmath, it would be helpful to record your test results and chlorine additions.Test just now at 9:15 is 17.5 fc and under .5 cc.
Last test before was 5:30am at 16.
So add more now.
One advantage of poolmath is that everyone here can read the log and help advise. You have something eating chlorine but its hard for me to follow when/how much, algaecides, etc. Losing 4-5 during the day is normal. Losing that much at night is not. I also still worry you’re overshooting the FC additions for a higher CYA level than you really have, which ends up burning through excessive chlorine like you’re seeing.I have been writing down all times and amounts.
Yep, i see it. Be careful on your testing. You have a FC of 0.5 resolution and CC reading with 0.2. One of them is wrong. For future reference, theres never any reason to use the 0.2ppm version. Stick with the 0.5ppm.Corrected gallons value.
Chlorine not added yet. I have 6 gallons left out of 15 from Friday.
Seems ph has risen. TA just tested at same 120.
Ok, Just making sure theres no test errors. My personal philosphy is that if its less than 0.5 then its the same as zero but do what works for you. I dont even test CC unless theres a problem anymore. The CC of .2 is me. Because it’s almost not even there. So it’s not even .5 which is the metric I’m using. 10ml = .5 ppm.
I’ve done the CC test so many times I can tell when I add the 5 drops it just doesn’t change or if it does the pink is so very hard to even tell that I calm it .2.
That may be unscientific however.![]()
