I just need to pass the OCLTThey do make calhypo pucks but you must use a new dedicated floater/dispenser and they add calcium of which too much is a bad thing (scaling)
I suspect your intense overnight loss is due to everything left over from your stair fiasco & the huge losses will subside soon.
Be sure to do all the things

That amount is akin to adding 11ppm fc 10x’s or 5.5ppm 20x’s in your pool volume - not unusual for a slam if dosing 3-4x’s a day as recommended considering you began nearly 7 days ago.
The steps held you back some days - keep going! You’ll get there!
No you dont. Its fine as-is and will probably rise on its own over the next few days.Need to elevate ph some
No. Thats just what pH does. A pH of 7.1 is perfectly fine and is just as good as a pH of 7.9.Because of rain?
Got a picture of your water now? Its acting like its filthy, or you have no CYA in the water, or its got a dirty cover on it at night, or some kind of odd testing error. Maybe post up a short video of the test process to rule out the last one.Lost right at 10pm FC overnight. 23ppm down to 13.5ppm. The CC (the 2nd part of Fas-Dpd test) reads the minimum at maybe one drop or no drops needed. Been doing that for over a week. CC have been at basically zero for a week.
Pool math said add 269oz 10% which is 2.1 gallons. Added 1.5 gals right at sun up so as not to fall short. We’ll see what happens. Pool level looks like no overnight rain. It cleared right before dark last night.
I did get about 7” of water out and refilled with residential water before running 1-1/2 hours to mix before adding chlorine then another 1-1/2 hours running to mix after dosing up. Pump on high. Filter backwashed prior to starting OCLT.
Anyways, that’s where I’m at.
I bought 15 gallons 10% at Home Depot. About as cheap as anywhere around me so far. Leslie’s is super high on 4 gal case even though it’s 12%
My wallet told me “thats it”. Lol.
They were out. But I will go to a hardware store in my little town. They had some of that brand. Which was nice that they had pool stuff.See if your walmart has "pool essentials liquid chlorine," it may be cheaper...

I went and looked at some pool store test results I had laying around from several weeks ago. 6 of them actually from three different stores before I started doing my own testing. And they all averaged together have CYA at about 68. Which is really close to what I’m getting here at home with the test.Got a picture of your water now? I put the 10ml water in a “washed with pool water” plastic measuring tube. Add two level scoops of R-0870 DPD Powder crystals. Swirl one thousand times to dissolve. lol.Got a picture of your water now? My bad. I meant I added 2.5 instead of 2.1 first thing this morning.Lost right at 10pm FC overnight. 23ppm down to 13.5ppm. The CC (the 2nd part of Fas-Dpd test) reads the minimum at maybe one drop or no drops needed. Been doing that for over a week. CC have been at basically zero for a week.
