Convert Pentair Mastertemp 400 to bypass system like versaflo

Does the Mastertemp have an internal bypass valve that will allow you to bypass heater when heater is off and not in use?
one dealer says yes, the other says no, the factory tech didn’t know

No, the Connected MasterTemp uses an external bypass with an IntelliValve that can be controlled by the heater or IntelliCenter. There is a bug in the heater control board and to work properly with heater control you need Version 1.1 of the heater board.
