Conversion to salt water?

Those of us who have converted to salt utilizing a salt water generator (SWG) are typically very happy. Unfortunately, with the increased cost of chlorine/bleach, we are also seeing SWGs shoot-up in price as well. Keep your eye out for deals though. Discount Salt Pools is a nice website to start shopping so you can get some ideas.

You want to find a Salt Water Chlorine Generator (SWG) where the cell is sized at least 2x your pool's volume. This is what we *always* recommend.
One big advantage of a SWG is you can go way on vacation for a week or two and know your pool is getting its chlorine daily.

Use the K-1766 test Before you add salt, you will be VERY surprised on how much salt you already have..

I Love and recommend SWG to everyone... The bigger the better.. you can get 60k SWG for $200 more than a 40k right now.. Well worth going to a 60k... I just installed a Circupool RJ60k on my 15,000 gallon pool, only a little bigger than yours... Running it at 30% 4 hours a day right now... :)
