Hello all! I’ve been checking my water weekly and I’m constantly getting a pH reading of 8.0. My pool math recommends appx 40 oz of MA which I’ve done for a couple weeks. This last week I threw in 60 to see if that would make a difference and it once again tested at 8.0. Any idea what might be causing this or solutions to try? TIA!

How long after you add MA do you retest the pH?

What is your TA?

What strength MA?

You are not recording your test data in to Poolmath. If you did, we can get the information easily that Allen asked for.

With a TA of 110 your pH will rise in a few days. You need to plan to add MA frequently.

You can work on lowering your TA with this process...

However if your fill water TA is high then your TA may not stay low for long.
