We have a new gunite pool, plastered with diamondbrite 2 weeks ago. I am having to add at least 2-3 cups of muriatic acid a day to keep my pH down. What is going on?
We have a SWG, approx 22k and these are my numbers:
pH - 7.9 (currently, I have not seen it go below 7.6)
FC - 3.0
TA - 70 to 80
Calcium - 110 (I know this is too low but I have been constantly messing with the pH so haven't been able to add hardness)
CYA - 0 (same as above - bought stabilizer but haven't been able to add it because I'm always adding MA)
We do have a water feature - up until yesterday filter and spillover were running 24/7 - yesterday we turned it down to 12/hr day.
Any advice? I realize that new plaster creates high pH but I can't seem to keep it down no matter what I add. I used a whole gallon in 4 days.
