Thought this would be a simple connection but the unions from pump have a slightly smaller outer diameter that fits too loosely in the 3" PVC that descends from the elbow. Oddly, the inner diameters seem to match. Assuming I need a bushing... maybe?

It's the Pentair Intelliflo VSF (model 011075). Intended to purchase same as original (011056)... but it's been discontinued.
Please ignore this... found there is a special union kit that increases size to fit 3" plumbing. Extra part that I needed to order.
