I'm new, and trying to get a handle on chemistry. I'm looking at the TF-100 test kit, but I'm confused by the options.
  • Is the Smart Stir worth adding?
  • I see add-on options for TF-100 Salt, Salt Test Strips, and Taylor K-1766 Salt Test.
    • Do I need all of these?
  • Borates Test Strips
    • I don't know if I'll be using Borates or not..??
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

200%. It transforms a hassle in something mundane.

If you have a SWG then Yes to the K-1766

Borates Test Strips

If you used Borax you will have some borates, but not enough to matter. If you did not intended to have borates then you don’t have them. It is a absolutely optional thing.

You don't need the pH meter, strips or sample sizer.
Agreed. I have it. Keeping it calibrated is as a hassle as the sum of all OTO pH tests you do on the season.
