Concrete Acid Stain on Pool Plaster

My pool plaster is 5 years old (Durrazo). One year after it was installed (and unfortunately before I was following TFP) our pool pump died while I was out of town. I instructed my wife to put powdered shock in it until i was able to get back into town. Unfortunately, the shock must have lingered on the surface and it appears to have bleached out the color in places - I have acid washed it twice to no avail.

I was wondering if I could use concrete acid stain on it with a color as close to the original plaster color as possible. It seems like it should work. but I wanted to check to see if anyone at TFP had any thoughts on the subject.

Thank you for any thoughts you may have on the topic.

I think anything you do will just make the bleached area look worse.
