Compool LX-10 Filter does not start without Cancel On Delay

That is it. You likely do not need the valve actuators as you all ready have them I would think. Would have to call Polytec to discuss that.

Oh well...the LX-10 stopped working and no automation control anymore. When I turn on the circuit breaker, it starts in filter mode and that is it. Cannot change any modes.

I asked my poolguy and he recommended the ICTR I5PS POOL/SPA with 5 relays all installed for ~$5000.

Does this sound reasonable? I realize the I5PS costs around $1800 from polytecpools.

Is that just to install the i5ps or is he installing the kit with ic40 and intellivalves, upgrading the breakers to the appropriate gfci, hooking up pumps to rs485 etc?
Seems high to me but without the scope of work, who knows .

Estimate says CONTROL SYSTEM W/ CVA I5PS Pool/SPA. Will control pumps, blower, valve actuators, freeze guard, and heater for SPA.

I would ask for additional information-
My guess is he is going path of least resistance and going to install an intellicenter i5ps lite - no load center/wifi/gfci/etc. In which case the scope of work is significantly less and the quote seems high.
Do you have a seperate load center near the pool panel or does everything currently come off of a single breaker in your main house panel?
Based on what I can surmise from your photos, if I where entertaining this I'd "buy once cry once" and see if a new feed could be pulled from your main and install the i5ps full with load center (id also add the intellichlor as I've been spoiled with mine). Pumps could then be properly gfci protected plus youd add a gfci convenience receptacle etc. In addition, consider anything else you "may" want to automate from there in the future as it's much cheaper to go i8ps or i10ps now then to upgrade in the future. My i10ps relays are used for
Pool light
SPA light
SPA blower
Landscape light
Equipment pad light
Fire bowl
Pool robot ( timed so the lithium battery is not charging 24/7)
Auto fill (timer controlled so I can monitor water usage thru my flume devise)

It does include the Wifi option, connected to my router. What do you mean by Load Center? He is willing to do the pool lights but it is already a separate circuit, and the pool fill is controlled by the sprinkler control B-hyve. Landscape lights are also a separate control.

Confirm this as lite does not include the wifi by default - it does have the wired ethernet port but the wireless relay kit is a seperate purchase.

Intellicenter lite vs full - lite does not have breakers (load center) - if you have a seperate sub panel at the pool then lite is fine. With the load center version you will have easier ability to add required gfci breakers for pumps and 120v lights, gfci convenience receptacle, etc.

For me, I like having all of the pool related control in a single app. In addition, of you eventually upgrade to multicolor led lighting, intellicenter will have the ability to control color changes.

Thanks for the feedback. This is what he is proposing to install, includes the Hi-Power Wireless link kit

So looks as if he is doing the load center install. Make sure he intends to install the proper gfci breakers with the new load center. What size breaker currently feeds your panel?
