Compool CP3800 Error Question

Mike,

I am not sure of your exact problem, but the ET needs two temperature sensors connected.. Air and Water... There is no Pool or Spa.. The Water sensor is used for both the pool and spa.

If you have a Solar system, you will also have a Solar sensor.

What problem are you trying to solve? What does not work with your system?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Codex and ERRx are not the same error, and are specific to the automation you have.

If you are getting an ERR1 that is a Compool error, and is the water temp sensor which should be located somewhere between the filter pump and the filter. ERR1 indicates that the system cannot "make sense" of the resistance the temp sensor is giving, OR the wire has become disconnected from the board (rats/mice).

If you are getting a code 1 error, that is an EasyTouch system. A self test had been initiated from a human @ the ICP, or at the controller, and is reporting an LCD display light problem. If you are getting a CODE 1 without initiating a self test, you may have bigger problem with the controller i.e. a stuck button or worse, a short somewhere on the board.

IOW, You should not be getting a random CODE 1 error without psychically starting a self test!

My guess is that you are getting the ERR1 and your sensor is having a problem. Check the wire all the way back to the controller and if it looks ok, remove the temp sensor from the plumbing and check it for cracks.

Compool and EasyTouch temp sensors are not the same either!
