Hi,
I have a Maytronic-made Pentair Warrior SE. The swivel cable is failing - I've been able to resurrect it a couple of times but it's on the way out. The robot currently works fine - but it is 4 years old. I'm hopeful it'll continue to run fine but realistically it's closer to the end of its life than the beginning.
My current thought process is - buy a new cable now, and when the robot finally dies I could replace it with one without the swivel cable and move the 'new' cable over. For example, the I prefer the Dolphin Caymen over the CC Plus due to price and basket config - but dislike that they Cayman doesn't have a swivel.
Are the cables relatively compatible between models? I see some are 2 vs 3 wire and rubber spring vs metal - but not a lot of clarity there.
If there's not a lot of compatibility, I'd probably lean more towards just replacing the robot entirely. The cables are too expensive relative to a complete unit to mess with it if I don't think I'll get much use out of it.
