New here. This is our fourth year with the pool, but this has been the most challenging year ever to get it clean and clear. We don't know what the heck is going on. I think we got behind on chlorine and are playing catch up. The pool has been cloudy with some green tint since opening it.

Finally got tired of running to the pool stores. Just received the TF-100 test kit today, here are my latest numbers.

FC 17
PH 7.2
TA 130
CH 825
CYA 30

For the past five days, we've been trying to maintain a high chlorine level to SLAM the pool. We've been using liquid chlorine and the test strips (while we waited for the better kit). It has gotten lighter, but still cloudy. Based on the testing, we clearly have the FC too high and a bunch of other things are out of whack. We have been sweeping it each day and swapping out cartridge filters as well.

What would you all advise as first steps?

Welcome! Actually, for being in the middle of a SLAM Process the numbers aren't too bad. Your CH is elevated is all. How do you feel about changing some water to lower the CH? You could do it now, say about half the water, to cut the CH in half and perhaps it might help the SLAM move along a little faster. Only half an exchange would also keep the pool and liner stable.
