Cloudy water

It's great the pool is now crystal clear, the only thing is we are getting algae, have to continuously scrub the bottom of the pool once or twice a week. All are chemical levels are right where they need to be don't know why I can't get rid of the algae

Russo, SLAM the pool. If you have algae, you need to kill it and not stop until you pass the OCLT.

Think of it this way... the little bit of chlorine you're putting on the pool is the equivalent of fighting a roaring fire with a squirt gun.

SLAM the pool.

Beth and 221: We have been harsh at times, I know, telling you to listen or we're done helping. But look at all the people who are still trying to help you. Help yourself.

We are all saying the same thing. We tried previously to get you to SLAM, but you were afraid and "liked testing" and were anxious to just do the OCLT. So, it didn't work.

Why the OCLT didn't pan out? Could be a testing error, who knows. Maybe your water was clear, but not TFP clear? We don't know. Could be a slow FC eater like a light niche? Maybe.

Please just SLAM.

It's going good, the pool is very clear. Sticking with just using the liquid chlorine, I do still get a little algae here and there so I am gonna slam the pool soon. I have been on vacation and with the holiday and birthdays I didn't want to shut down the pool to do it plus it was very hot so I wanted to go in the pool, cause I know if you slam it you can't go in. I go back to work next week so I will do it then

Yea I still get a very very little patch of algea here and there but it's so small I just brush it up and it's gone...no biggie but as far as the liquid chlorine is been a life savor, no more using the tablets with the dispenser......that was useless

if you are keeping the FC where it should be according to the CYA chart, you shouldn't get any algae.
bump it up.
I know 28oz of 10% moves me up 1ppm.
So if I don't feel like testing, she gets 28oz a day (or double every two days) and if hot as heck or bather load, I add more.
