Filtering.
Floc is specifically Not Recommended by TFP.

Follow the SLAM Process. With a sand filter, the Add DE to a Sand Filter - Trouble Free Pool will speed up clearing of the debris.
I was going to add all my numbers that I recorded and realized I need a subscription, but Google was being less than cooperative, so I'll have to deal with that another time. I added my current numbers to the pool math app and I'll list them here as well. I need to know what I should start with tonight, as I'm basically starting over, this time with a nice, clear pool. I'm assuming chlorine, but I have been wrong before!
Here are my numbers :

07/14/2021, 8:00pm
FC - 0
CYA - 30
PH - 7.5
TA - 130
CH - 250

I'm pretty sure, after all the vacuuming, I emptied and refilled a good 1/4 of the pool, so everything's a bit off. Hopefully I'll be able to get everything back on track much quicker this time around.

Thank you all again for the help. I'm trying to keep up with this, but with some health issues getting in the way, it's been a struggle! I hope y'all have a great night!

You'd better get some chlorine in asap or you'll be back to square one.

get liquid in ASAP..
As for the gauge yes you need one now or yesterday as wireform said :) He is right

Get the TFTP gauge, even with shipping its cheap and it a lot better then orig..And if you change filters move it over :)

I added 2 gallons plus1 1/2 quarts last night. At noon, FC is at 7 and CC is at .5. I have 2 1/2 quarts of bleach left. My husband will go out and get some more chlorine for me. I'll have him add the last of what we have before he goes. Today is not so good for me. I overdid it again yesterday. This makes it hard for me to stay on top of getting numbers and adding chlorine. Last time, I had my hubby add a gallon at a time several times while I was down for the count.

Yesterday we try to find some chlorine. Everyone was out! I tested the numbers anyways and my FC was at 7 and CC was at .5. This was at 11:45 a.m.. At 7:15 I tested again. FC was at 4.5 and CC was still .5. At this point, since I wasn't going to be getting any chlorine to put into the pool anytime soon, I decided to work on lowering my total alkalinity, as it was up to 130. PH was at 7.5. I added the last of my muriatic acid, which was about a quart I believe. At 12 noon this afternoon, I tested my numbers again. FC is 2.5, CC is .5, pH is at 7.2, and TA is 110. I found out this morning that Canton Walmart has just gotten a new shipment of chlorine in, so we are going to go get some! Considering my numbers yesterday and today, do I still need to SLAM my pool? I really don't see the point since I'm not having any algae growth, the water is crisp and clear, and my cc is at .5. I was pleasantly surprised that there was any chlorine at all still in my pool at this point! I believe any chlorine loss is due to sun exposure. I really do not want to risk adding a whole bunch of chlorine at this point and end up with, what do they call it, chlorine lock? Please advise!

Well the above was being kind to someone having a rough few days.

But most the other times we just need to enjoy the ride because we only get one turn. :)
Thank you all for the humor and the love!! It is very refreshing!

That is not a real thing.

Do a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. I have recommended a SLAM Process because you short circuited the process using FLOC. And that process can let algae come back in to the system. Algae is not always visible.
Be sure your water is clear -- like How Clear is TFP Clear? Let's See (Pics Please).
Ok, that sounds good. Should I go ahead and keep slamming for the rest of today once I get home with my chlorine? I'm assuming that's a yes!! We're picking some up now.

Yes, once you get your chlorine, you can start the SLAM. With a CYA of 30, get your chlorine to 12 and keep it there until you can end the slam.

I did the OCLT last night. It lost only one ppm FC from 9pm to 6:30am. I'm very happy about these results! My tests continue to reflect only .5ppm CC as well. Here are my latest numbers:

07/17/2021
5pm
FC - 4.5
CC - .5
CYA - 20
PH - 7.5
TA - 130
CH - 300

I would like to know, can I use ascorbic acid to lower alkalinity, or does it even affect TA levels?

Judging by my numbers, what is the next step I need to take, please? Thanks for all your help. ☺️

Great!

Add about 20 ppm worth of CYA. Use the sock method.
Maintain your FC at target for a 40 ppm CYA (your current 20 plus the 20 you will add). See FC/CYA Chart

Do not use Ascorbic acid to control pH. Use Muriatic Acid. When your pH reaches 8, lower it to 7.4. No need to directly address TA as it will come down over time by controlling your pH.

Welp!. Had to leave the pump off and go get plumbers tape. Changing out the old gauge caused a leak. Silly, forgetful me! 😂 We've got the tape, CYA, dry acid (no muriatic acid to be found anywhere 🤦‍♀️), and a skimmer basket cover with vacuum hose. Going to stop at dollar tree for a pair of cheap panty house to use as a skimmer sock (we purchased the Skim-Around skimmer online, and normal skimmer socks are too thick for the top to snap onto the basket), then we'll be homeward bound (to quote Simon and Garfunkel, LOL).

Ace hardware did not have any muriatic acid in the paint department?
