Cloudy brownish green pool

Keep the FC elevated and you should get cloudy teal in a day or two. Then getting clear might take a bit of time depending on your filter.

Test as often as you can, up to once an hour, and add as needed. Scrub everything, vacuum the floor, etc. Pump going 24/7, clear your filter when PSI rises 25%. Post photos as you go :)
Been 35 minutes and still registering 3.5 did. It just not mix in yet or is it really eating it that quick.

Update: at 7 now so climbing slowly. Just put 1 more gallon in so fingers crossed

No doubt about trying to color match for sure. :)

Just get back to it when you wake up. No reason to stay up all night :)
Now I’m totally confused.

Woke up this morning and tested fc was 33. Tried a cya test again and filled the entire tube and could still faintly see the dot. Should I try and increase cya?

It also looks like my water level is a little low would probably be good to add another 1/2 - 1 in to get to middle of skimmer

You can add water - that won’t matter too much to the chem levels.

The light you’re in matters to the test. Best to be in bright but not direct light. A bright sunny day but in the shadow of your body. If it’s in direct light like direct sunlight it’ll throw the test off. I’d recommend trying it again in bright indirect light and seeing what you get. You might need to add more, but best to be sure.

Ok it did seem like sunlight made a difference. Fc is down to 13. Good news too when I put my pole/net in I can now see it on the bottom so that’s progress. Thinking of adding 1 lb of stabilizer using sock to try and get cya to 40 and make me feel better. Obviously I will update slam accordingly

I can see the rover in the bottom this is definitely progressing

Usually it goes cloudy teal/blue first, then clearing starts. If it is clearing up that’s good, and if it goes clear but green it could be metals. We’ll see what happens and deal with that when it’s clear if it stays green. :)

So I cleaned the filter this morning no it was really dirty. Ran the robot about 5 hours and pulled up some brown probably dead algae but not much debris. Went to clean filter at end of the day and it was only slightly dirty. Starting to wonder if something else is accounting for the green

The cloudiness is algae either way. Gotta clear that up. Do you have a pressure gauge on your filter?

So I’m guessing my circulation is off or something. Tested last night about 9:30 pm. Was at 10.5, I added 1/2 gallon (more than slam suggested)woke up this morning about 7am and it was 31. Could it be possible that some of the lc I am putting in is really taking like 5-6 hrs to circulate?

It’s definitely looking better more of a teal/blue other than greenish. I can almost see the bottom when standing on the side. 2nd pic I can see the rover from the deck 1/2 way across the pool
