The procedure is described in so much detail on this forum and elsewhere, thanks to so many of you.
Don't want to discuss the steps here yet again but wanted a thread to zero in on the sequence, and whether that matters.
Every post is slightly different in terms of the sequence of steps - some start with return side, then suction, then drain and disconnect filters/heater etc, while others disconnect and drain equipment first, then move to blow the lines in all sorts of different orders.
Is there a logic to the optimal sequence of steps? For instance, to me it seems logical to drain all equipment first before blowing return lines, but many seem to go the other way around.
Thank you!

Hey MC and Welcome back !!!

With so many systems out there, I don't think 2 of us do it exactly the same. And this one starts here and that one starts there. As long as it all gets drained in the end, we all win. :)

I am going to take my equipment apart and blow both directions from the pad. Those that have a cyclone can blow the whole thing from the skimmer in one shot.

You have three areas to be winterized - return lines, suction lines, and equipment in between. It does not matter which sequence you do the three.

Use whatever flow works for you and once the pump and water flow is off it does not go on until next spring. Use whatever flow works for you and double check you don't miss any equipment.
