Closing pool for summer. How important is total balance?

I will be looking after my neighbor's 10,000 gallon inground pool with spa while he is away for the summer and most of autumn. He has a SWCG and a solar cover. Should I keep it balanced the same way as my own testing every few days or should I just focus on FC levels?

I would keep it balanced.. If he has a SWCG it should not be an issue... You should not have to test but once a week with a SWCG.
