Thank you. I short, algaecide is optional and just keep topped up at shock level for 24 hours, then close as usual? Wanted to make sure I didn’t need to add anything else.

Are you using a tarp kind of cover or mesh? I've used tarp for 13 years or so of closings following TFP and have never used an algaecide. Just raise to SLAM level and I always open to clear water and with a FC level still above minimum for my CYA.
