Any experience with "close-out" liners for inground pools? At ~ 1/2 to 2/3 the price of a newer pattern is it just cosmetics or treated the same would they likely last the same? (I read in a thread that GLI say ~5years is ok to store them, but not sure how that translates into longevity in the pool)

I'm sure they are storing it properly per their own protocol if it's an off the shelf stock liner. If they're custom making it with a discontinued pattern I wouldn't worry at all because those reels of material are only as old as their last shipment of that style.
Good point! Thanks @Newdude, will go with the older pattern in the thicker material.
