I just noticed a discrepancy between the CYA level recommendation of Circupool of 30-50 ppm, vs the recommendation of TFP of a CYA of 70-90 for a SWG pool.
In the past, I've been following TFP's recommendation, but my CYA level has now fallen over the winter to 40ppm, so I was about to add CYA when I saw the Circupool recommended level of 30-50. Can anyone explain why the two recommended ranges are so different and which level should be used? On the one hand, one would think Circupool would know what level is best for their salt water generator, but on the other hand, I know TFP's recommendation stems from many years of pool experience on the part of many members. Before I top up my CYA I appreciate hearing other's thoughts about this. Thanks!
