chlorine use

I just started using the TFP method for my chemistry. I did the SLAM process in the beginning because I had a little algae, pool has been looking great and everything has been staying pretty steady. Question is about chlorine usage. I have been having to add about 4 gallons of liquid chlorine per week. I just wanted to see if this is normal? I live in Texas and it has been pretty hot and humid here lately. My CYA is @ 55. pH has been between consistently between 7.6 and 7.8, until today (my daughter threw some dry ice in the pool that we received in a package, I am working on that now, threw in some washing soda.)

I'm using 4 gal per week now here in Los Angeles. CYA is 60.

Sounds normal. I used to have to put almost 1 gallon a day of 10% bleach in my pool during the summer.
