Chlorine Feeder - Cranking Noise Turn off Pump

Maybe it's always been like this but I just noticed when I turn the pool pump off the chlorine feeder makes a cranking sound.

Maybe it's always been like this but I just noticed when I turn the pool pump off the chlorine feeder makes a cranking sound.

For the sake of your heater, remove the tablets from that feeder. Better, remove it completely and install a SWG. That noise is water leaking back into the plumbing and it will, because it is from the very corrosive "soup" inside that feeder, destroy the heater. Even any check valve will not stop it eventually.
