Chlorinator Timer on Intex Krystal Clear Combo

I have an Intex Krystal Clear combo system that I keep running in “FP” mode 24/7. My issue is that my Chlorinator will not restart its 8-hour cycle each day while pump is in “FP” mode. Does the pump have to power down and back up each day in order for the chlorination cycle to repeat or is there a way for the chlorine timer to work in FP mode?

Good morning! Were you ever able to figure out that chlorinator-FP mode issue?

It appears that the pump has to shut off and go into sleep mode in order for the Chlorinator to restart on its cycle. So while I’m home I run the pump 24/7 and start the Chlorinator when needed. I can turn the pump timer on when I leave for vacation.
