I have a new to me 19000 Gallon pool. The previous owner used pool rx minerals with a hacked frog ease system using 3in chlorine tablets.

My CYA levels is around 100 and my Chlorine is at 1. I took out the pool rx and now I want to get chlorine levels in check. I believe the best solution is to add liquid bleach according to the TFP stuff I have seen. I get alot of staple rewards through work and was wondering if this product would work for me?

Any advice is appreciated TYIA.

Welcome to TFP! I'm not so sure that's an ideal product. Many laundry bleaches have proprietary fabric products that can mess with your water. Do you not have a Walmart or Home Depot nearby? They have standard liquid pool chlorine that is much better and stronger. Better value for your money.

As to the high CYA, did you test that yourself? What test kit are you using, and can you post a full set of water test results? If your CYA is indeed at 100 or more, a healthy water exchange is needed before you do anything else to lower the CYA down to around 50 or 60. That should also help to remove much of the mineral content from the previous mineral systems and junk used by the previous owner.
