Sorry for late repl JamesW, but was away. Spoke with our local pool specialist today and he was kind enough to bring over a AcquaTrol box and cell to help out. At first he thought it may be the box, so he changed the box for a new one, and had no luck. Same results with low salt. Then he changed the cell and bingo everything was ok. He then proceeded to replace the new box with my old box and presto, everything fine.
So as you had commented either salinity or cell, it was the cell. Also the cell is under warranty for 3 years so I contacted the supplier and I’m going to pick up a new one tomorrow.

Not really sure either however when I called rhey told me no problem and that the cell was on warranty for 3 years like you had said. Have a great day.
