Hi! Still getting used to testing on my own. Using a t100 kit. Here are the numbers from just now:
FC 8.5
CC 0
TA 70
CYA 40 (still not sure if I’m reading this one accurately)
Ph 8
Salt 4000

1. Salt is high but the computer shows 3300. Should I calibrate it to match my test numbers?
2. SWG set at 65% but I just bumped it to 75% as I saw a few algae looking spots. Water is crystal clear otherwise.
3. Do I need to add/adjust anything? Getting ready for a big Labor Day picnic
Thanks!!

Hiya Jeanne & Tom ..... Are you brushing at least once a week?

I wouldn't worry about the salt reading on the SWG....as long as its producing chlorine - "Its happy so I'm happy" is my motto.

If you see Algae you need to up your FC level to the SLAM level and brush brush brush. You might be able to avoid a full scale SLAM process if you can nip it in the bud now.

Keep your pH in the 7s. Do you use PoolMath? Either the App or the old fashioned web version ( PoolMath ) to guide you ?

I brushed this past weekend. I do have the app so I’ll try to lower the ph We have a cooling tower that we use to cool down the water. We cleaned it really well with bleach water but it is open around The bottom so I guess crud could be getting in.
