That bottom looks so smooth! WOW someone did a lot of work and took their time doing it!!! LOL on them asking to take off their shirts! I would have offered them a hose to use to cool off with also! The heat index is what will get you for sure!

YOUR LEG  that is unreal! How many bites did you end up with??? Those things are crazy fast when you stir them up!

LOL on the "spare cats" box. We call them "cat traps" around here!

I am can't wait to see your liner with water in it. The color is going to be very interesting.

Do you have your test kit yet? You will want to get it before the water goes in the pool so we can get you all set up with what needs to go in the water.

 I hope this week goes good for you!

TY Kim! Got the T-100 test kit... have been scared to test my water. It is well water with iron. Argh. I do have a 1 micron filter on the whole house, but commodes still stain so hmmmph.
I'm having the pool filled up with municipal water and am going tomorrow to get a sample. I guess that's the one that really counts since it will be the big fill.
I have big ambitions every day but my leg is always holding me back. I was only bit 7 times, but I was bit 2 months ago several times at my mother in laws and this one was ramped up. I have an epipen RX for yellow jackets but think maybe I just suck.

Off topic, again, I saw online where people are putting tape (painters, duct, any) in a square shape on their floors and the cats just go and sit in the middle for some reason or another. Odd but funny!!!

Just swelled up with ants... only need the PEN for Yellow Jackets. Yellow Jacket sting is bad and sudden, feels like your throat is weird and before you can yell, you've lost your breath and you're wondering where is the phone to call 911.
I'm not allergic to the ants but it hurts and swells and ITCHES so bad.

I've had to run sche40 electrical to save on costs while they are going to run the 2" plumbing.

Had a wonderful day... sold our AG pool on craigslist to a WONDERFUL family! It was so cute, I was late arriving in my truck and the kids were in the front yard waving me in! They already had their swimsuits on! It would be awhile though, to fill up an 18 x 52!

A Play, by my cats:

Act 1: What is this TroubleFreePool.com !?

Act 2:
I've read a lot:

Act 3:
It seems so hard...

Act 4:
Arrgh it seems harder than it is!

Act 5:
Oh, It is easier than I thought!

At this point of my build, I would like to take a moment to reflect back. I would like to reflect on the asinine issues... let me see, the quote of a $2,500 Hayward variable speed pump, the $4,500 in-floor cleaner I was going to have, and soon to be deleted... the $600 Baracuda side suction cleaner! Kinda sad when you realize costs! So sad how builder's can gouge you!

Meow makes me howl!!!! LOVE IT!

Yeah on the price up charging done.............I feel SO sorry for those that have not found TFP yet!

I just walked a member through doing the tests on his fill water. He was worried it would be too hard when he opened the box. Now.........he loves it!

Wow! I can't believe those prices...give em H E double toothpicks until you get what you want! Sounds like you have some challenges going on but I can't wait to see pics of the results. You know how to make it happen.

Whelp, just wanted to update my build thread. Been busy relocating the spring water, doing some landscaping, and going to finish up (hopefully) tomorrow the cat enclosure on the back deck. Cats have been bored since the 'ole crabby girl passed away. We were so preoccupied with stuff going on... we didn't notice they were bored and lethargic. Guess her being a witch and smacking and chasing them gave them a thrill? Well SHAZAM!! THE OUTSIDE!!!
Another pressing issue is we've been without a microwave for several weeks now. Unfortunately, our order is lost in space. Predicting a comet is easier than the prediction of when our microwave will show up. KitchenAid doesn't realize that cooking on a microwave saves so much energy and is better for the environment! Just kidding, I really want to heat up the frozen potato and cheese burritos for breakfast.

If you've read this far then you know it is slow as a slug. It hasn't got better. Promises Promises from the builder. No power or plumbing but I'll be spending the better part of the afternoon tomorrow with some bleach and skimmer on a pole to agitate so this expensive trucked-in water doesn't go rancid. Here's some pics for your viewing:

Thank you Crystal! It's been a real riot around here. I think the most fun this week was when 4 guys (2 seasoned/regulars and 2 summer boys) came to fix my sewer line. The summer boys (or someone with the pool builder) had 'fixed' it with a 45 angle weeks before, which the sewer alarm went off because it was such a kink. Originally the pool builder owner himself had dug up my sewer blackwater line and field line after I told him where they were. He ASSURED me he was a professional, knew what he was doing... didn't like my plan at all. OK. You screwed it up. Fix it. Well, their sawsall quit (ugh). Gave them mine and they cut into their previously, wrongly fixed pipe and unfortunately the pump was pushing my blackwater up the hill at the time (if you get what I mean and I could surely smell 8ft away easily). Eww. I couldn't help but laugh when it was spurting out EVERYWHERE. Long story short, there was the spring nearby that was damed up and there was a water runoff as well. I told the summer guy, "hey, why don't you dig a bit there so this stuff will run off?" because it smelled something awful, and he stepped down off the hill and shoveled that YOU KNOW WHAT onto my leg and another employee's shoe. Nice kid. Hope his parents are proud.

What a fiasco! UNREAL!

Your cats will love the outside enclosure! Mine did when we lived at the old house!

Good job keeping chlorine in the water and stirring it up good! You might want to think about adding some CYA (stabilizer) to the water. I hate to say this due to the price but the liquid might be your best bet since your pump is not working yet to help dissolve and mix up the power CYA.

 you are getting there but man what a journey it is being.

working on the CYA because it is hot as Hades here in the South. PH is terrible. I put another 20lbs of baking soda in a slurry this afternoon... then came a terrible thunderstorm and shut down my carnival. I only have a temporary superpump going until the electrician works his magic (hopefully next week). Saltine cracker! These are not the best numbers.
