I maybe wrong but as temp and CA increase your CSI increases. This means that you will have scaling problems. So I would think the opposite. Take that with a grain of salt!
Not really, as I understand from my reading here that is a holdover belief from old-school boiler systems. Unless you have a warranty that specifies a correct CH level then I wouldn't worry about it.
No. Heater corrosion is driven by pH. The function of calcium being involved with HX corrosion prevention is very misunderstood by the pool industry. You can safely forget about having calcium to protect your heat exchanger/heater.
