I only said you have algae because you are having to clean your filter so often... The 25% rule is just a guide... I never use it because even when I have been using my filters for 6 months there is no appreciable difference in the return flow when clean or dirty... I see no reason to clean my filter unless I can see something not working.
Obviously, it is your pool and you can do what you want.. But I suggest that you try going a month between cleaning and see how it works for you.. Then maybe every two months... Unless of course you get a thrill at cleaning the filter.
I would quit checking the pressure at 3450 RPM...
