Thanks for the suggestion - I've been trying to do something similar, basically testing every other day, when I get home from work. I take a sample from the deeper end of the pool, as well. Not close to the returns.
I've found that the FC has been consistently rising (since I set it correctly as per @PoolStored suggestion). I'm guessing that I'm not getting much, if any, UV loss. We also haven't been in much since the heater died out. My SWG seems to have automatically lowered its output (I have to look at the manual); and I lowered it a bit more last night.

9/7 - 9.0
9/9 - 12.5
9/12 - 17.5 (noticed 1.0 CC in this test - anything to be done?)
