My pool was acid washed about 2 months ago. Before acid wash SWG was at 35-40% with Cl 3-5. After acid wash, I noticed that I needed to increase SWG. Now I am at 80%. Pool conditions: FC 1.0-3.5, pH 7.6, TA 100, CH 305, CYA 100, Salt 3700, Phosphate 50. After dark, FC was 3.5 at end of 8 hour run. Next morning ran the pool for 30 min with SWG set r0 zero. The FC was 1.5, however this was about 10 am, not first thing. Pool water looks clear. Is the freshly exposed material on the gunite surface after acid washing reacting with the chlorine or is it algae. How does one proceed to neutralize the problem.

This appears to be an algae problem. The true way to confirm is to perform a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. Turn off the SWCG, test, then get up early before daylight hits the pool and test again. Report back the results.
With a CYA of 100 - you should be keeping FC at 10 and you are nowhere near that. This leads me to believe you have an algae issue
