Can’t get any free chlorine reading

OK -- I am pretty sure the Mineral Brilliance granules have copper sulfate in them. But unless you used alot of it, the copper was there from before. Copper based algaecides, any product with the word Blue in it normally contains copper.
So the copper is 0.4 at the pool store that specifies the copper. What should I do now?

0.4 indicates staining is likely. Hopefully it has not already occurred.

To be safe, you should drain as much water from the pool as you feel safe to keep the liner from shifting. Most above ground pools can be drained down to 18" of water left in them, but be ware your liner can shift and then you have issues.

OK will do. When I start refilling the pool do I put the same amount of liquid chlorine in tonight as I have the last couple nights?

There’s no time like the present. (At that time). Your FC will consume 2-4 ppm per day once we get you all fixed up. So later in the day it will be a bit less than you started with. But the other #s will all be the same at any time in a given day.

So I got my kit and I have my smart stir, the only problem is the test tubes don’t fit in the smart stir. Did you guys order test tubes separately?

Pics please ? Never heard that one before, but there has been some packaging errors lately with all the hoopla the shipping/retail industry has been going through.

That is a "smart stir" , not a "speed stir" . 2 different types of test kit mixers .
You need a "Speed Stir" by Taylor technologies .
The "smart stir" one will not work with the TF100 test kit vials .
I am assuming TF was out of the "Speed stir" by Taylor ? Did they substitute for a "Smart stir" ? That would be odd .

You need this one ........... Speed Stir

Anyway .......just mix manually for now to get the ball rolling on slaming the pool !
