I guess my question should be, how dirty is too dirty to run the cleaner? Also, is there an issue with the elevated chlorine levels during the SLAM process having adverse affects on the robot or its components?
Robots are really made to pic up all the small junk that falls into your pool and sinks.
That said, they are not made to pick up a months worth of wet leaves. That is what a leaf rack is for..
The robot manual says to not use the robot when the FC is over 4 ppm. For me, this would mean that I'd never be able to use a robot, so I just ignor that rule and it does not seem to bother the robot at all. It will fade the plastic over time, but a robot to me is a tool, so I don't name it or worry about the color..
